Amazon Haul deals and discounts, explained
Last checked:
Amazon Haul is already a low-price store, so "deals" there work differently from regular Amazon. This page explains the discount mechanics Amazon describes for Haul, using Amazon's own help pages. It is not a live deal list: we do not post prices, deal links or coupon codes, and the store's offers change daily.
Short answer
- Basket discount: Haul gives an extra percentage off when you add more items to one Haul order. Amazon Help describes it; the exact tiers are shown in your Haul cart.
- Free shipping threshold: orders below a minimum spend pay a 3.99-dollar shipping fee per order.
- Deal sections: the storefront runs rotating sections such as flash deals. They come and go; check the store itself.
- Coupon codes: Amazon's Haul help page describes basket discounts, not promo codes. We have not found an official Haul coupon code program.
- Returns can claw back a discount: returning an item that helped you qualify for a discount reduces your refund.
1. The basket discount ("grab more, save more")
Amazon Help says: fill your basket with affordable products to unlock discounts only available in the Amazon Haul store, and earn an additional percentage off your order by adding more items to your basket.
When Haul launched, About Amazon gave the tiers as 5% off orders of 50 dollars and over, and 10% off orders of 75 dollars or more. Treat those as the launch numbers, not today's rule. When we loaded the storefront on 2026-10-18, its cart prompts were worded both by amount ("add … for …% off") and by number of items ("add … items for …% off"), with the figures filled in per shopper. So the tiers may vary. The prompt in your own cart is the number that counts.
2. The free shipping threshold
Amazon Help says Haul charges a 3.99-dollar shipping fee per order for orders that do not meet a minimum spend, and that Haul orders are not Prime eligible. The help page does not print the minimum. About Amazon's Haul article gives it as 25 dollars ("Orders of 25 dollars or more qualify for free delivery in one to two weeks"). The storefront also shows an "add … more for free shipping" prompt, so check that prompt before you check out.
The fee matters most on small carts: on a 10-dollar order, a 3.99-dollar fee adds about 40% to what you pay. Our guide to Haul finds under 5 dollars works through this cart math.
3. Flash deals, spotlight deals and themed sections
On 2026-10-18 the U.S. Haul storefront had rotating sections labeled "Flash deals" and "Spotlight deals", and themes such as "Up to 50% off", "Finds under 5 dollars", "Holiday shop" and "Best sellers". One section was limited to two items per customer. These are what we saw on one day; they rotate, and we do not link to individual offers because they expire.
To see what is running now, open Amazon Haul in the Amazon app, mobile web or desktop. Amazon Help says Haul is available on all three; older versions of the app may need an update.
4. What "Typical Price" means inside Haul
A struck-through price labeled Typical Price in Haul is, per Amazon Help, the 90-day median price paid by customers for that product in Amazon Haul, excluding limited-time promotions. On the rest of Amazon, the Typical Price is a 90-day median that excludes prices paid in the Haul store. So a Haul discount is measured against Haul's own past prices, not against the same item on regular Amazon.
For more on reading these labels, including List Price and "Lowest price in 30 days", see Typical Price vs List Price on Amazon.
5. Coupon and promo codes
We found no Amazon help page describing promo codes for Haul. Amazon describes the basket discount above, and the sections in the store, as the ways to save. If a third-party page offers an "Amazon Haul coupon code", confirm that the same saving appears in your Haul cart before you rely on it. We do not publish codes.
6. How a return can change your discount
Amazon's return policy says: if you return an item that was part of a discount qualification, Amazon will reduce your refund to account for the return. In Haul terms, if three extra items pushed your cart into a higher basket discount and you return one, expect a smaller refund than the item's price.
Two other Haul return rules apply. Items priced 3 dollars or less are Final Sale: they cannot be returned or refunded. Eligible items over 3 dollars can be returned free within 15 days of delivery, not the usual 30. Details are in How Amazon Haul works.
7. Sales tax is not always discounted
Amazon Help notes that, in line with state tax rules, sales tax may be calculated on the original price before promotional discounts are applied. A basket discount can therefore save you a little less than its percentage suggests.
8. Haul sales around Black Friday
In 2025 Amazon ran a separate Amazon Haul two-day global sale on November 10 and 11, ahead of its Black Friday Week. Amazon's press release called it one of its biggest savings opportunities before Black Friday Week, with deals as low as 0.11 dollars. As of 2026-10-18 Amazon had not announced a 2026 Haul sale or its 2026 Black Friday dates. See Amazon Black Friday 2026 for what is known.
A quick deal checklist
- Check the cart prompt: how far are you from free shipping and from the next basket discount?
- Do not add items only to reach a tier. A return later can reduce your refund.
- Note which items are 3 dollars or less. They are Final Sale.
- Read the Typical Price as "compared with Haul's own recent prices".
- Expect delivery in one to two weeks, and no Prime shipping.
