How Amazon Haul works
Last checked:
This guide summarizes how Amazon Haul ordering, shipping, returns and import charges work, as described on Amazon's own help pages and the Amazon Haul Terms and Conditions. Each section cites those sources and the date we checked them. We have not placed a Haul order ourselves.
What Haul is
Amazon Help describes Amazon Haul as a shopping experience that brings lower-priced products into one destination, across categories including fashion, home, lifestyle and electronics. About Amazon states that all Haul items are priced 20 dollars or less, with the majority priced 10 dollars and under and some as low as 1 dollar. That is Amazon's stated policy; this site does not list product prices.
Ordering
Haul works on the Amazon app (an updated version), mobile web and desktop, per Amazon Help. Start from amazon.com/haul or search "Haul" in the Amazon Shopping app. Haul products stay in a separate Haul cart until you buy them; in the app, the cart icon is at the bottom right of the Haul store. Haul is not available for Amazon Business customers.
Shipping and delivery
- Delivery time: Amazon Help says Haul purchases are delivered in one to two weeks, varying by delivery location.
- Shipping fee: orders that do not meet a minimum spend pay a 3.99-dollar shipping fee per order. Amazon Help does not state the minimum; About Amazon gives it as 25 dollars.
- Prime: Amazon Help states that Haul orders are not Prime eligible.
Always confirm the fee and the delivery estimate on your checkout screen.
Shipped from outside the U.S.: customs and import charges
The Amazon Haul Terms and Conditions (last updated 2025-12-23) say Haul products may be stored and shipped from facilities outside the United States, so an order may need to clear U.S. customs. By buying, you agree that:
- you are buying Haul products for personal use;
- Amazon's designated carriers can act as your agent with customs, postal and tax authorities, and you are usually listed as the importer;
- you are responsible for any import fees. Amazon may charge a fixed "Import Charge" at checkout, included in the total, and says it will not charge you more if the actual import fees are higher;
- government authorities may inspect Haul products and ask for information, which Amazon or the carriers may provide on your behalf.
For gifts shipped to someone else, see Using Amazon Haul for holiday gifts.
Returns and refunds
- Window: Amazon Help says Haul accepts free returns of eligible items over 3 dollars within 15 days of delivery, not the standard 30. Items must be new, unused and unaltered, and returned per Amazon's instructions.
- Final Sale: Haul items priced 3 dollars or less are Final Sale, non-returnable and nonrefundable. Amazon's main return policy says to contact Customer Service if a Final Sale item arrives damaged, defective or materially different from what was ordered.
- Discounts: if you return an item that was part of a discount qualification, Amazon reduces your refund to account for it.
- Drop-off: About Amazon mentions more than 8,000 U.S. drop-off locations, including Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, UPS, Kohl's and Staples.
We did not find U.S. exchange rules specific to Haul. Amazon's general policy treats an exchange of a gift as a return plus a new order.
Discounts and prices
Amazon Help says you can earn an additional percentage off by adding more items to your Haul basket, and that a struck-through Typical Price in Haul is the 90-day median price paid in Haul, excluding limited-time promotions. Amazon Help also notes that sales tax may be calculated on the original price before promotional discounts. See Amazon Haul deals and discounts.
Protections
Amazon Help says Haul purchases are covered by Amazon's A-to-z Guarantee. About Amazon says Amazon screens the products sellers offer in Haul, and that the A-to-z Guarantee covers product condition, including items that are damaged, defective or not as described. Amazon does not publish a separate quality standard for Haul on these pages, so this site does not say Amazon guarantees quality.
What we could not verify
- Payment methods unique to Haul, and whether Haul reviews differ from regular Amazon reviews.
- Which countries specific Haul items ship from, and how often an import charge appears at checkout.
- Whether Amazon's holiday return extension applies to Haul orders (see Amazon holiday return policy 2026).
