Unofficial Amazon Haul & Deals Guide

Is Amazon Haul worth it?

Last checked:

This page is a buyer's checklist for Amazon Haul, based on Amazon's own public pages. We have not bought or tested Haul products. Nothing here is a product recommendation or a personal review of quality.

What Amazon says Haul is

About Amazon describes Amazon Haul as a place to find affordable fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics and other products, with its own search, cart and checkout. Amazon states that all items are priced 20 dollars or less, with the majority priced 10 dollars and under, and some items as low as 1 dollar. Treat that as Amazon's stated policy, not a guarantee that every listing will stay under that limit.

The same article says Haul rolled out in beta in November (the year is not stated on the page) for U.S. customers, and now serves customers in several other countries. This guide focuses on the U.S. store.

A checklist before you buy

Use these questions on Amazon's own product and help pages. We are not verifying any specific listing.

  1. Separate cart. Amazon Help says Haul products are stored in a separate Haul cart until purchase. Make sure you check out through Haul.
  2. Stated price band. Amazon says Haul items are priced 20 dollars or less. Check the listing price on Amazon when you buy; we do not display prices.
  3. Shipping cost and speed. Amazon Help says Haul delivers in one to two weeks and charges 3.99 dollars per order below a minimum spend; About Amazon gives the minimum as 25 dollars. Haul orders are not Prime eligible.
  4. Returns window. Amazon Help says eligible items over 3 dollars can be returned free within 15 days of delivery. Items priced 3 dollars or less are Final Sale and cannot be returned or refunded.
  5. Who sells it, and where from. Amazon says it screens the products sellers offer in Haul. The Haul Terms and Conditions say products may be shipped from facilities outside the U.S. and may need to clear customs, with any import charge included at checkout.
  6. Protection. Amazon Help says Haul purchases are covered by the A-to-z Guarantee, which About Amazon says covers items that are damaged, defective or not as described. That is a purchase protection, not a quality guarantee.

Is it worth it? How to decide

We cannot judge quality without testing, so here is the decision in Amazon's own terms. Haul suits low-stakes purchases where a 1-to-2-week wait is fine and you can live with the Final Sale rule on the cheapest items. It suits less well anything you need quickly, need to fit exactly, or may want to return after more than 15 days. For the cart math on the cheapest items, see Amazon Haul under 5 dollars.
